Beach Wedding

These photos are from a wedding we did for a Bride from the UK and a Groom originally from New Zealand. It was a wonderful wedding with a very emotional atmosphere.

I so loved working with this bride and got to know her really well by the time the wedding came around, it is one of the most rewarding parts of my job as a wedding planner.

Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes

We were at a Wedding Industry Lunch at the fabulous Norman's Restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Orlando Yesterday which was so much fun and is such a beautiful location.

Chef Norman actually flew to make lunch for us all and took the time to introduce his team at the restuarant and mingle with us while we sampled some of the delicious food.

This is one of the beautiful centerpieces that was on display at one of the mock table settings that had been set up to display both the great linens from Kirby Rental and the florals from Lee James. This one had flowers, feathers, a gel filled vase and lots of candlelight at the bottom. A high centerpiece like this is great so that your guests can all see each other across the tables and the flowers do not get in their way of socializing and all the candle light adds so much atmosphere to your event.

Great Wedding..

We had a great wedding last night with a very Traditional Church Ceremony followed by a beautiful Reception at the Ballroom at Church Street in Downtown Orlando.

This is a picture of the Reception Room before the guests came in, I will publish more when we have the professional photos ready from Peter Jensen the photographer.

Everything was beautiful and went exactly according to plan with lots of dancing, great food from Puff N Stuff and a very happy Bride and Groom who are now on their way to Hawaii for their honeymoon as I write..

Wedding Rehearsals

I'm off to Church this afternoon for a rehearsal for tomorrow's wedding which is going to be an amazing event.

The church ceremony is going to be very traditional followed by a reception at the Ballroom at Church Street with dancing, cocktails and partway through the evening poker tables to entertain the guests, should be a lot of fun.

The rehearsal is an important part of the wedding preparations so always try to make sure that as many members of your bridal party can attend as possible as this will make for a much smoother wedding day and hopefully take away some of the inevitable wedding day butterflies that every couple gets.

With a church wedding for a religion that is not familiar to all of the wedding party or relatives taking part it also lets them know what to expect on the big day itself.

Groom's Cakes

Not everyone thinks to include a Groom's cake as part of the wedding but it is a fun way to allow the Groom to express a part of his personality and show one of his interests.
If he has a favorite cake flavor that nobody else likes, a special interest or a hobby then it is a great idea to surprise him with a fun cake of his own like this cute Lobster cake..

Weddings and Weather

Everyone expects perfect weather from the Sunshine State but as we move into the Florida summer it should be remembered that this is actually Hurricance season and the weather can be unpredictable..

Always have a Plan B - certainly hope that you don't ever have to put it into action - but just in case the rain comes down on your perfect outdoor setting it gives you peace of mind to know that there is somewhere dry inside that will do a great job for you and your guests.

After the showers (or storms!) have cleared then there is always the opportunity for some cute pictures like the one here at Cypress Grove Park.

This is such a cute photo that I just had to share :) Despite being rained off at Leu Gardens this wedding party who had come all the way from Northern Ireland still kept their sense of humor - maybe they are just used to the rain due to living in the UK!!

The little boy had a great reaction to his Mommy and Daddy sharing a Wedding Day kiss..

I went to a Lunch Meeting yesterday for the Association of Bridal Consultants at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando where we had an amazing lunch - the food was awesome! The Guest Speaker was Lovelynn Jenson who among other things was the Wedding Advisor on the Move "The Wedding Crashers" and she inspired me to create this blog and catch up with social networking technology :)
